Pommard bottle

Pommard

Full-bodied on the palate, with intense flavours.

In this village appellation, the renowned firmness and potency of the tannins found in the 1er crus gently yield to a more approachable nature. Positioned on a level terroir, away from the steep hillsides, the intensity of the sun’s heat is tempered, resulting in a wine of refined balance and nuance. While the village wines may not possess assertive structure, their inherent charm lies in their accessibility and grace. Nevertheless, its underlying potential for maturation remains promising. Good aging potential.

Pinot Noir
Hints of black fruit - Delicate body.
Red meat and rich cheeses.

The Vineyard

Pommard

Pommard wines are made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes and are powerful and full-bodied on the palate. They can be kept for many years. Their initial chewiness mellows with age into tannins that create a lingering finish on the palate. They are the perfect accompaniment to meat legs, meat with sauce and game, and of course cheese.
