This 1er cru is grown on ancient pastures. It is a powerful and strongly structured wine that becomes more refined with age. Its terroir makes it less tannic than the Rugiens. Keeps well.

Pommard wines are made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes and are powerful and full-bodied on the palate. They can be kept for many years. Their initial chewiness mellows with age into tannins that create a lingering finish on the palate. They are the perfect accompaniment to meat legs, meat with sauce and game, and of course cheese.
